Amanda is an experienced international executive leader with skills in business strategy, corporate governance, leadership development, policy drafting, workshop facilitation, and consulting for gender equity. She sits on the regional board of The Centre for Coordination of Agricultural Research and Development for Southern Africa (CCARDESA) where she is a member of the HR and Governance Committee, Programmes Committee and the Audit, Risk, and Compliance Committee. She is a member of The Institute of Business Advisors Southern Africa (IBASA), The Boardroom Africa, and the International Leadership Association (ILA). Over the last few years, Amanda has designed and supported the launching of a Fellowship program that places young people as Chief of Staffs or Special Advisors to Senior Government Officials across Africa through her work at the African Leadership Academy. She has also led the strategy and scaling up of Girls for Girls Botswana, a national Non-profit she Co-Founded in 2020 that seeks to empower women to lead by connecting them to mentors. She is a Mandela Washington Fellowship Alumni and a One Young World Ambassador with a Master’s Degree in International Development, a BA in Finance and Accounting, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Enterprise Risk Management. Amanda aims to dedicate her life to enabling youth and women to unlock their potential and to support small businesses to thrive in Africa.
